Angaza Stay Alliance Kenya

Together with our set-up-partner Women’s Empowerment Link (WEL) our local Kenyan team looked for suitable members for our umbrella organization.

In 2019, the founding members of the Stay Alliance in Kenya decided on a name: Angaza is Swahili and means „shine light on something“. In other words, the Stay Alliance is intended to provide new light and perspectives to promote sustainable development and cooperation.

24 members of the Angaza Stay Alliance Kenya have already signed a memorandum of understanding.

We all are locally-based social entrepreneurs and NGOs who carry out projects in the areas of health, education and income. Potential new members must demonstrate their willingness to increase their social impact and decrease dependence on donations.

In 2021 Angaza Stay Alliance Kenya was officially registered by the Kenyan government. The experience and know-how of Latek Stay Alliance Uganda supports the targeted development of Angaza, but the local conditions are decisive for the structure of the Stay Alliance in Kenya.

The Angaza Stay Alliance relies on the knowledge of its members, especially the visionary approaches of the individual social entrepreneurs and the cooperation within the alliance.

A strategic plan for the Alliance is now being drawn up, a joint charter is being drafted and registration is following soon.

During this time, the individual members will be strengthened in their ownership and trained in networking.
